Description
The MoonSwatch project pairs Omega’s Speedmaster heritage with Swatch’s playful spirit, and the Mission to Uranus edition draws on the ice giant’s pale blue-green hue for one of the collection’s most striking colorways. Molded from Bioceramic, a proprietary material combining two-thirds ceramic with one-third recycled plastic from PET bottles, the 42mm case is exceptionally light on the wrist while offering the scratch resistance and premium finish expected of Omega’s design language. The pale turquoise dial carries a sunburst texture beneath a matching tachymeter bezel, with the familiar stepped dial architecture and baton hands borrowed directly from the Moonwatch family. The caseback bears a mission-specific engraving alongside a printed rendering of Uranus’s signature blue-green atmosphere, visible through the exhibition window along with the Swatch-manufactured quartz chronograph movement inside. The movement delivers a dependable 60-minute chronograph function via two pushers, along with a small-seconds subdial and 24-hour indicator consistent with the rest of the MoonSwatch lineup. A soft VELCRO-brand hook-and-loop strap in a coordinating pale blue tone completes the look, secured with a matching loop keeper for a comfortable, adjustable fit. This particular example is entirely unworn and includes its complete original packaging, mission booklet, and all accessories as issued. Since its debut, the MoonSwatch series has become a cultural phenomenon among watch enthusiasts, and the Mission to Uranus remains a distinctive addition to any collection spanning the solar system.
