Description: Rolex Explorer 214270 MKI
Pre-owned Rolex Explorer ref 214270 (2012) Mark I dial is a very prized collector’s item. When ref. 214270 came to market in 2010, it introduced the mountaineer’s tool watch to a larger 39mm case. However, the dial remained the same, making many speculate that the hands were now too short for the slightly larger case. The Mark II dial was introduced just a few years later, in 2016, featuring longer hands and fully lumed Arabic numerals. Watches with the Mark I dial are incredibly collectible because they were the “first of” in the series.
